QR Codes at Weddings: Invitation Links and Personal Passes

Key Takeaway
Use wedding QR codes for shared information or personal arrival passes. Understand the difference, privacy limits and a practical scanning fallback.
A QR link for information
A code on a sign or printed card can open a page with directions, a schedule or RSVP instructions. Keep a readable URL beside it and explain what guests will find. Test the printed size, contrast and destination on more than one phone.
A public invitation link may ask a guest to look up their invitation. It does not automatically identify a guest just because it is printed as a QR code.
A personal pass for arrivals
Bloomvite's paid check-in workflow uses a guest-specific pass and an authenticated host scanner. Sharing a personal pass can expose the associated guest's invitation or reply access, so send it only to that guest.
Keep a name-lookup fallback. Scanning depends on a usable screen or print, camera access and a compatible device. It is not a guarantee of faster entry in every setting.
Avoid promising a photo-sharing gallery
You can link a code to an external gallery you arrange separately. Bloomvite can show invitation photos, but that is different from a guest photo-upload service. Check the service and permissions of the destination before printing the code.
Privacy and lasting links
Do not print personal invitation links on public signs. Check that a shared destination is appropriate for everyone who can see the code. After a material venue or time change, update the destination where possible and tell guests directly.
Product and pricing limits
Bloomvite is free for one event and up to 50 people, including plus-ones and children, with all ten templates and no watermark. You share guest links yourself by text, WhatsApp or your own email. Pro is $39 per event for up to 300 people and adds invitation emails and automatic RSVP reminder emails, envelope reveal, seating, CSV import and QR check-in. Large event is $79 for up to 1,000 people. Guests need no account or app to RSVP.
Check-in and seating require a paid event. A website QR link is different from a personal admission pass. See Bloomvite's check-in feature and pricing.
